3D Modelling Services
Modelling in 3D space may be more demanding than 2D modelling and mapping. We have been working in this field for several years and have completed many 3D models, both complex and simple. We understand the process very well and help clients move from 2D to 3D modelling as well as work with clients at more advanced stages.
The service includes the following:
- Informed consultation with the client team to clearly define the objectives and expectations.
- Managed project design with milestone and contingency planning
- Initial review and QC of seismic and well data to identify major spatial "busts" in data at an early stage
- Efficient workflow design and use of workflows or scripts for speed and repeatability where the software allows it.

- Construction of 3D structural models (non-vertical faults and horizons) in time and depth from seismic and well data.
- Implementation of depth conversion techniques.
- Geological modelling (bodies & properties) within 3D volume to complete model.
- Expert saturation modelling and application in appropriate tools.
- Volumetric calculations for hydrocarbon reserves and resources
- Full uncertainty modelling from scenario generation to realisation ranking and experimental design.
- Regular model review with the team and peers to address progress.
- 2D maps and cross-sections for model illustration
- 3D visualisation (virtual reality if appropriate).
- Interim & Final QC and report
