Training and Support Services
Training
GMS can provide training courses specifically tailored to client requirements on most aspects of geomodelling and subsurface mapping. Our courses are always based on the workflow required for the specific task or tasks.
They combine relevant theory and hands on software teaching, together with helping students to appreciate the overall workflow. In addition integration and data management issues that may arise within a team for the particular workflow are addressed.
Support
GMS can provide on-site support services to assist asset teams with all aspects of modelling and mapping work. This service is a level above telephone support and "button pressing" support usually provided by software vendors.
Our support geologists (geomodellers) are skilled in actually doing the work as well as the software. This means that they can develop appropriate workflows and help demonstrate how to do specific technical tasks with software like Petrel. Moreover they are independent and can provide impartial advice on software functionality.
Workflow
We can analyse existing team workflows and recommend improvements, or design new and more efficient workflows. In addition we can demonstrate how to maintain proper records and audit trails for geomodelling work, particularly important where volumes and reserves are involved.
